Joseph M. Eysnogle

vet
Jun 3, 1925 – Oct 10, 2010

Racine – Joseph M. Eysnogle, 85, passed away at home on Sunday, October 10, 2010. He was born in Phillips on June 3, 1925, son of the late Adam and Alma (nee: Schmidt) Eysnogle. Joe served in the Navy during WWII, and while stationed in San Diego he was married to Adriana Tuinstra on September 21, 1945. Following their marriage and the end of the war, they moved to Racine. She preceded him in death on October 23, 2007.

Joe worked for JI Case for more than 30 years as a driver, retiring in 1987. He was happiest when with his family, and especially enjoyed the pool parties with his grandchildren. Joe had a passion for watching TV westerns and sporting events. Joe always celebrated life to its fullest, and on the occasion of his 85th birthday he took his first tandem skydive. He was a faithful member of Racine – Belle City Lodge #18 F&AM; the Racine Shrine; and a supporter of the Shriners Hospitals for Children.

Joe is survived by his children, Andrea (Philip) Reid of Madison, Jeffrey (Lucy) Eysnogle of Footville, and Diedra (William Arndt) Nielsen of Racine; grandchildren, Kimberly (Andrew) Dodd of Brookfield, Kristi Reid of Milwaukee, Ross (Elizabeth) Nielsen and Alex Nielsen of Racine, Lindsay (Jason Pickering) Eysnogle in Maine, Laura Eysnogle of Footville, and Lianna Eysnogle of Milwaukee; great granddaughters Treva Dodd, Addyson Nielsen, and Bela Dodd; brother and sister, Robert (Jo Ellen) Eysnogle in Texas, and Phyllis Rehorst of Milwaukee.

In keeping with his wishes, private funeral services were held in the funeral home on Thursday, October 14, 2010, and he was entombed at West Lawn Memorial Park. Memorials in his name can be made to:  Shriners International Headquarters, 2900 Rocky Point Dr. Tampa, FL 33607, or http://www.shrinershq.org/

Testimonials

December 22, 2016

Thank you so much for your staff’s gentle, patient, and thorough management of my nephew’s memorial service yesterday. It was run to perfection, and we couldn’t be more pleased. From the beautiful slide show transitions to the quality audio system to the easels, pedestals and Kringle…all details were impeccable and appreciated.
