Henry Trepczyk, Sr.

vet
Jan 27, 1932 – Mar 6, 2016

Murfreesboro, TN – Henry Trepczyk, Sr, 84, received the promise of eternal life on Sunday, March 6, 2016, at home and surrounded by the love of his family.  He was born in Milwaukee on January 27, 1932, son of the late John and Martha (nee: Uhlir) Trepczyk.

He was united in marriage to the love of his life, the former Geraldine Peterson, on August 2, 1958, at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Waterford, WI.

Henry graduated from Walker High School in Milwaukee.  He proudly and faithfully served his country in the United States Army from 1952-1954.  Henry was stationed in Fairbanks, AK, and received the National Defense Service Medal during his service.  He was a sheet metal worker for George J. Meyers for 35 years.  Henry also was a school bus driver in Racine and Cudahy for five years.

Henry is a former member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Racine where he attended for 43 years before moving to Tennessee.  He was also a member of Advent Lutheran Church in Murfreesboro.  Henry was a member of Sons of Norway when he lived in Racine.  He enjoyed sports, watching TV, woodworking, and playing cards.  He had a large collection of cars.  Above all, Henry treasured his family dearly and enjoyed every minute he was able to spend with them.  He will be dearly missed.

Henry leaves to cherish his memory, his wife Geraldine “Geri” Trepczyk of Murfreesboro; daughter, Gerlyn (George) Neau of Castro Valley, CA; son, Henry “Hank” (Mary) Trepczyk, Jr. of Murfreesboro; grandchildren, Chris (fiancé: Jessica) Neau of Gretna, LA, Jennifer (Flavio) Poenar of Castro Valley; sister, Lorraine (Harry) Buska, Sr; sister-in-law, Shirley Berntzen of Racine; nieces and nephews, Susan (David) Berlin; Nancy (Dave) Wiese, Stanley Buska, Martha (Dan) Chaveriat, Tom (Janet) Zoller, Harry Buska, Jr, Richie Buska; other relatives and dear friends too numerous to mention.

Henry is preceded in death by his parents, John and Martha Trepczyk.

A celebration of Henry’s life will be held on Friday, March 11, 2016, 11:00am, at Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home, 4600 County Line Road, with his son-in-law, Pastor George Neau officiating.  Visitation will be from 9:00am until the time of the service.  Burial will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park.

Testimonials

December 19, 2016

I can’t say enough good things about Michael and his staff. They go above and beyond what is required of a funeral home. He has always met my desires and goes beyond what I ask. He always makes it a little more special. He has blessed me and my family many times and comforted us when we are aching because of our loss. I am always confident that he will do his very best, and he always has.
Thank you Michael and staff. May you all have a Blessed Christmas season and New Year

Julie Weyhrauch
