Sandra K. Fischer

Nov 15, 1946 – Jan 27, 2009

Sandra K. Fischer, 62, died in the Memorial Hospital of Burlington, on Tuesday, January 27, 2009. She was born in Racine, on November 15, 1946, the daughter of the late Frank and Antoinette (nee: Boehm) Malko. On November 30, 1963, in St. Mary Catholic Church here in Racine, she was united in marriage to John P. Fischer. Sandy was employed by the Foster-Forbes Glass Co. for over 26 years. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Burlington and Local. Surviving are her husband John P. Fischer Sr.; their children, John (Linda) Fischer Jr., William (Lora) Fischer, Frank (Shelia Renz) Fischer, and Yvonne Johnson, all of Burlington; 11 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren; sisters and brothers, Patricia (Mike) Chizek, Connie (Jim) Peasely, Dan (Joyce) Malko, Debbie (Dan) Stich, all of Racine, and Diane (Stan) Pawlowski of Franklin; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Bob Wierzinski, and Debra Malko, both of Milwaukee, Bob Malsack of Kenosha, and Marge Malko of Peoria, AZ. Her nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends further survive her. In addition to her parents, Sandy was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Michael Johnson; 3 brothers, Richard Malko, Bill Malko and Frank Malko III, and 2 sisters, Marlene Wierzinski and Barb Malsack. Her funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Friday, January 30th at 7:00 p.m. with Rev. Jeffrey M. Thielen officiating. Visitation will be in the funeral home on Friday from 5:00 p.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Hy 32, on Saturday, January 31st at 11:30 a.m.. The family has suggested memorials to the Burlington Hospice.

Words cannot even begin to express the tremendous gratitude our family has for a team like the one at Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home & Crematory. Thank you for the gentle lovely care over our mother Delia (Rosa) Balderas. Never having had a direct experience with a funeral home to this extent we didnt know what to expect. We didnt have a clue that they would step right in and have the most comforting team surrounding us that thought of ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING for anyone in our position. It was very evident from the first discussion on the phone that they were already well prepared to handle every little detail for us that we weren’t even aware would be required. Mark and his team truly eased so much of the unknown worries right out of our path, and left room for us to just focus on the small personal details we wanted for our mom. It was nice to know that all cost involved was in black and white on their site as well as on paper at our first meeting. Leaving no room for question or doubt what so ever with any fee involved. It was truly a blessing to have everything written out so well and simplified with various price range options in a time that we needed crystal clear direction. Its been beautiful to see that their care and service didnt stop after our mom’s service came to an end. They continue to be in communication with immediate responses as questions arise along the way. God bless Mark, and the entire compassionate team, to be around to guide many many more for generations to come through life’s most difficult times. You are all truly amazing.
