Anthony "Memphis Tony" Brown

Mar 3, 1959 – Mar 7, 2009

Racine – Anthony “Memphis Tony” B. Brown, 50, passed away on Saturday, March 7, 2009 at Wheaton Franciscan-All Saints Medical Center. Tony was born in Memphis, TN on March 3, 1959 to Louis and Evelyn (nee: Stewart) Brown. He lived in Racine for most of his life. Among several jobs during his career, Tony enjoyed working as a baker at O & H Bakery. A man of devote Christian faith, Tony was a member of Searching Together Missionary Baptist Church. He was of great influence on the youth of Racine by organizing and facilitating many programs at local community centers. Tony loved being in the surroundings of his entire family especially his grandchildren – who affectionately called him “Paw-Paw”. Surviving are his children, Sheanika Beadles, Setorias (Justin) Beadles, Cody Stewart, Samario (Vanessa) Beadles, Kadajah Wright and Monique Taylor; special aunt, Georgia Brown; special friend, Sherrie Beadles; many other special relatives and friends too numerous to mention by name. A Homegoing Celebration will be held in Searching Together Missionary Baptist Church, 825 – 21st Street, on Saturday, March 14, 2009 at 9:30 am with Rev. Willie Riley officiating. Interment will follow in Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be in the church on Saturday beginning at 9 am.
