Bonnie L. Geiss

Jun 16, 1951 – Sep 12, 2009

Racine – Bonnie L. Geiss, 58, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 12, 2009 at 3:52 am following a valiant battle with cancer. A lifetime resident, she was born in Racine on June 16, 1951 to Fred and Alice (nee: Meyer) Geiss. A graduate of William Horlick High School, Bonnie was employed by SC Johnson Wax – Building 64A for over 31 years until her failing health forced her to retire. She will be fondly remembered as an animal lover, board game master, accomplished puzzle solver, excellent cook, phenomenal baker and (most importantly) loving daughter, sister and aunt who cherished the times spent with her family. She also enjoyed going for car rides in the country side – especially in her Mercury Cougar. Surviving are her mother, Alice VanKoningsveld; brothers and sisters, Rick (Sue) Geiss, Sandy McGill, Judy Geiss, Steve Geiss and James Geiss; and many special nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends – too numerous to mention by name. Bonnie was preceded in death by her beloved father, Fred Geiss. In accordance with Bonnie’s wishes, private family services were held. For those who so desire, memorials to the American Cancer Society has been suggested.

I was so sad to hear of Bonnie’s passing. She and I were friends back in junior high school. We shared the same birth date, though a year apart, which we thought was pretty cool. I have many childhood memories of happy times shared.
My deepest sympathy to all the family,
    Donna (Kulcinski) Leahy

Testimonials

Comfort, blessed and confident

I can’t say enough good things about Michael and his staff. They go above and beyond what is required of a funeral home. He has always met my desires and goes beyond what I ask. He always makes it a little more special. He has blessed me and my family many times and comforted us when we are aching because of our loss. I am always confident that he will do his very best, and he always has.
Thank you Michael and staff. May you all have a Blessed Christmas season and New Year
