Racine – Patricia H. Beere, 83, passed away on Monday, July 12, 2010 at All Saints Hospital. She was born in Racine on December 27, 1926, daughter of the late Albert and Daisy (nee: Mader) Skow. She was a graduate of Washington Park High School. On February 4, 1950, she was married in St. Edward’s Catholic Church to F. Jerome Beere.
As a young woman she worked in the Marketing Department at JI Case, and was proud to represent the company at the Wisconsin State Fair. Patricia was an even prouder homemaker who loved caring for her family. Her holiday meals were considered feasts! She especially enjoyed celebrating her family’s accomplishments, crocheting, and reading. Patricia was a devoted member of St. Edward’s Catholic Church, and the Altar Sodality.
Patricia is survived by her loving husband, Jerome; her children, James (Kathleen) Beere, and Joan Polczynski; grandchildren, Elizabeth (Dan Hogan) Beere, Jonathan (fiancée Jennifer Stockl) Beere, Andrew (Caroline) Beere, Christian (Monica) Beere, David Polczynski, and Ellen (Kevin) Galezewski; great-grandchildren, Cali, Caitlin, Abigail, Benjamin, Nicholas, Rebekah, Alexandria, Megan, Samuel, and Brooklyn; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded by her sister, Bethel Holmes; her brother, Albert Skow; her son-in-law, James Polczynski; and great-granddaughter, Madeline Beere.
Funeral services will be held In St. Edward’s Catholic Church, 1401 Grove Avenue, at 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 15, 2010 with Rev. Allen Bratkowski officiating. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the church from 10 – 11 a.m. Private committal services will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery in Caledonia. Memorials to St. Edwards Parish, or the charity of your choice have been suggested.
Our family would like to thank the Racine Fire Dept. EMT’s; the doctors, nurses, and staff of the All Saints Hospital Emergency Room for their professional and compassionate care given to Patricia during her last hours with us.
