Suzanne Jean Remillard

Jun 17, 1940 – Feb 2, 2012

Mrs. Suzanne J. Remillard, 71, passed away at her daughter’s residence in Racine while under hospice care on Thursday, February 2, 2012.
She was born in Evanston, IL on June 17, 1940, the daughter of Kenneth Eugene Rolfe and Jeanette Marcella (nee: Voss) Beck. Sue graduated from Maine Township High School in Niles, Class of 1958. On December 19, 1959 she married Robert Bruce Remillard. She worked for Laidlaw Transit for over 27 years, retiring in 2004.
Sue was happiest when in the presence of her family. She especially enjoyed family camping trips and crocheting for her children and grandchildren. Sue could always be counted on to be a good listener and help those in need. She was very special to all that knew her and will be dearly missed.
In addition to her husband Robert “Spike” of Somers, her survivors include her children, Vicki (Scott) Mathe of Union Grove, Dean Remillard of Kenosha, Toni Remillard of Racine, Erin (Kevin) Richtsmeier of Racine; her grandchildren, Erika (Ryan) Forman of Racine, Benjamin Remillard, Aleah (fiancé, Eric Toth) Remillard both of Milwaukee, Taylor Mathe of Union Grove, Cameron Mathe of Union Grove, Xander Remillard of Racine and her great grandchild, Camryn Toth of Milwaukee. Sue was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth Rolfe and mother, Jeanette Beck.
Family and friends are invited to meet at the Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home and Crematory on Thursday evening, February 9, 2012, from 4-6 p.m. for a visitation. A service celebrating Sue’s life will follow at 6:00 p.m. with Rev. Kara F. Baylor officiating. A private interment will take place at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family has suggested memorials to the Safe Harbor Humane Society in Kenosha (7811 60th Ave. Kenosha, WI 53142) in recognition of Sue’s love for animals.
The Remillard family would like to thank Hospice Alliance for the professional and compassionate attention Sue received in the past month while under their care.

Testimonials

December 19, 2016

I can’t say enough good things about Michael and his staff. They go above and beyond what is required of a funeral home. He has always met my desires and goes beyond what I ask. He always makes it a little more special. He has blessed me and my family many times and comforted us when we are aching because of our loss. I am always confident that he will do his very best, and he always has.
Thank you Michael and staff. May you all have a Blessed Christmas season and New Year

Julie Weyhrauch
