
BOSSIER CITY, LA (FORMERLY OF RACINE) – Mr. Robert Lee Matsen, 66, passed away at his residence on Friday, February 24, 2012.
He was born in Racine on October 27, 1945, the son of the late Elmer and Lucille (nee: Ebert) Matsen. He graduated from Washington Park High School in 1964. On May 27, 1967 he married Linda Lucksted, the love of his life.
Bob last worked at AWI, retiring in 2004. He enjoyed collecting sports cards, bowling, camping and being in the company of his family. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
In addition to his loving wife, Linda, of Bossier City, LA he is survived by his children, Michael Lee (Lisa)Matsen, Amy Lou Matsen both of Racine, Robin (Aaron) Christensen of Arkansas; his grandchildren, Travin, Trentin, Caleb, Jordan, Alexis, Victoria, Nicholas, Elizabeth and Monique; his sisters and brothers, Gerry Howard of Franksville, Pat (Dennis) Hurley of Dauphin Island, AL, LuAnn (Mark) Smith of Racine, Jack (Helen) Matsen of Kenosha, Elmer (Sarah) Matsen of Racine, Paul (Pattie) Matsen of Nashville, TN, his twin brother, Richard (Rose) Matsen of Racine; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Karen (Mike) Maren, Sandra Lucksted, Mary Lucksted, Donna Ricchio, Ted (Kim) Lucksted, Robert (Gloria) Lucksted, Donald Lucksted, Terry Lucksted; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Bob was also preceded in death by his brother, Morris Matsen and brother-in-law, Edward Howard.
Family and friends are invited to meet at St. Lucy Catholic Church on Friday, March 2, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. for the celebration of Bob’s life and Mass of Christian Burial with Rev. Mark R. Jones officiating. There will be a visitation in the Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home on Thursday evening from 5-7 p.m. and in the church on Friday from 10-11 a.m.
