Sheila Corrine Williams

Mar 3, 1963 – Jul 7, 2012

Sheila C. Williams, 49, passed away at her residence under hospice care on Saturday, July 7, 2012 after a year and half valiant battle with cancer.  Her family was present with her at her death.

She was born in Eau Claire on March 3, 1963, the daughter of Carl and Cora (nee: Steinke) Brommer.  Sheila graduated from Washington Park High School in 1981.  On August 16, 1994, she married the love of her life, Tilmon “Tim” Williams, Sr.

Sheila had a beautiful spirit.  She enjoyed family gatherings, shooting pool and driving trips.  She was happiest when in the presence of her family; especially her son, Austin.  Sheila had a warm smile and joyous laugh. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her husband Tim and son, Austin; Sheila is survived by her step-son, Tilmon (Ashley Hankins) Williams, Jr.; her parents, Carl and Cora Brommer; her sister and brother, Debra (Jim) Edwards, Joel (Terrie) Brommer;  her father-in-law and mother-in-law, William and Ruth Simmons; her brother-in-law, Kim (Monica) Simmons  all of Racine; nephews and nieces, Dr. Jamie (Lizy) Edwards of Hartland, WI, Andrew, Tina and Matthew Brommer, Cecily Simmons all of Racine; as well as many other dear relatives and friends.   Sheila was preceded in death by her grandson, Michael Hankins-Williams.

Family and friends are invited to meet in the Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home on Friday, July 13, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. for a service celebrating Sheila’s life with Rev. Kara F. Baylor officiating.  There will be a visitation in the funeral home on Friday from 10-11 a.m.   She will be interred at West Lawn Memorial Park following the service at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established for a designation to be named at later date.

Testimonials

May 24, 2018

I can’t express my gratitude enough to Mike and the Draeger-Langendorf staff for such great service provided to us, as we made arrangements to lay our brother to rest. You all went above and beyond to make sure we understood every detail there was to know, from the greatest to the smallest. When we walked out of your office, we walked out with peace, knowing that our brother was in good hands. Thank you Mike for adding that special touch to my brother’s service, that’s the kind of stuff that separates you all from the rest. Once again Thank you so much.
