Elaine R. Steltenpohl

Dec 5, 1926 – Nov 15, 2012

     Elaine R. Steltenpohl, 85 passed away peacefully at her residence, on Thursday, November 15, 2012, with her family at her side. She was born in Racine on December 5, 1926, the daughter of the late Daniel and Erma (nee: Butzine) Hannon.

     On September 4, 1948, in Holy Communion Lutheran Church, she was united in marriage to the Fred J. Steltenpohl. She was a devote Jehovah’s Witness. Her faith in God and Jesus Christ were deep in her heart.  Elaine loved music and had a beautiful singing voice. She was a great cook. Her homemade lasagna, pizza, and brownies were legendary.

      Her loving memory will be kept in the hearts of her husband, Fred; their sons, Dann (fiancée, Sharon Scales) Steltenpohl, and Scott (Jodi) Steltenpohl; grandchildren, Erich (Randi) Paselk, and Amy (fiancé, Keith Garofalo) Ashley; great granddaughters, Hailee Jane and Daisy Lynn Paselk; sister, Jan (Wally) Acha. Her nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive her. In addition to her parents, Elaine was preceded in death by her brother and sister-in-law, Glenn and Beverly Shuey.

     The family wishes to thank their loving friends. Jackie and Donald Grabher, Gentiva Hospice, especially Shalene Monty, Tracy Barnes, and Kathi Piette, and the entire staff of the Becker Shoop Center, especially Jennifer, Gloria, and Juliette, for their care and support for Elaine and her family.

     Her funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Wednesday, November 21st, at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will be in the funeral home on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
