Michael R. Massie

Sep 20, 1961 – May 16, 2013

Kenosha – Michael R. Massie, age 51, passed away on Thursday, May 16, 2013.  Mike was born in Milwaukee on September 20, 1961. A 1980 graduate of Arrowhead High School in Hartland, he went on to graduate from UW-Milwaukee with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and from Keller Graduate School of Management in Chicago with a Masters in Business Administration.

On July 22, 1989 in St. Robert’s Catholic Church – Shorewood, he was united in marriage with the love of his life, Maria Angelica (nee: Caringal) of whom was his college sweetheart.

Surviving are his loving wife, Maria; their children, Heather Massie (age 25) and Sean Massie (age 19); mother and step-father, Rose and Ronald Meyers; father, Richard “Dick” Massie; brother, Dennis (Debbie) Massie; Maria’s parents, Reynaldo and Gloria Caringal; sisters-in-law, Yasmin (Gary) Anger, Liz (Bernie) Crisostomo and Flora (Craig) Kotlarek; longtime devoted friends, Jack & Emily Nehmer, Loree & Aaron Raap, Carla & Mike Hart, Bill and Kim Schick; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Mike was preceded in death by his brother, John Massie.

I knew Mike in college at UW-Milwaukee. He was a genuinely good guy. And, he was one of the very few people with him I could get in an intellectual conversation, whether it was Philosophy, Politics, or Science. My condolences and prayers to his family.
