
Racine – Arlo Henry Smith, Sr., 69, received the promise of eternal life on February 6, 2014. He was born in Racine on February 16, 1944, son of the late William Matadys Smith and Francis (nee: Klopfer) Smith.
Arlo worked for Case for many years until his retirement. He enjoyed playing video games on his Playstation and also enjoyed watching TV, especially wrestling and NASCAR. Arlo enjoyed going on trips with his son, Arlo, Jr., to different Racing events over the years. Above all, Arlo loved his family and will be dearly missed.
Arlo leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Maria Smith of Burlington; children, Melinda (Michael) Pace of Iowa, Arlo (Laura) Smith, Jr. of Racine, Aaron Smith of Racine; grandchildren, Wesley Pace, Francine Pace, Rebekah Pace, Autumn Smith; sisters, Gladys (Roy), Loretta, and Billie Jean.
In addition to his parents, Arlo is preceded in death by his first wife, Josephine (nee: Penna) Smith; second wife, Karen (nee: Niedzialkowski) Smith; sisters, Dorothy and Sally.
A celebration of Arlo’s life will be held on Thursday, February 13, 2014, 12:00pm, at Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home and Crematory, 4600 County Line Road. Visitation will be from 10:00am until the time of the service. Burial will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park.
