Todd John Willis, Sr.

Mar 9, 1966 – Sep 1, 2014

Todd J. Willis, Sr., 48, received the promise of eternal life on Monday, September 1, 2014, after spending a peaceful weekend with his family.  He was born in Milwaukee on March 9, 1966, son of John and Sybil (nee: Banner) Willis.

Todd is a graduate of Horlick High School.  He most recently worked for Mayfair Car Rental.  Todd loved everything that had to do with Wisconsin sports including the Packers, Brewers, Bucks, and Badgers.  He spent many years coaching local baseball and football teams including: Racine Youth Sports, Lutheran High School, Erickson’s Baseball Club, and the Racine Raiders.  Above all, Todd loved his family and cherished every moment spent with them.  He will be dearly missed.

Todd leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Martina Willis; children, Amelia Willis, T.J. Willis (Todd, Jr.), Zach Willis; mother, Sybil Willis; brother, Marc (Lori) Willis; sister, Elizabeth (Simon Llanas) Willis; parents-in-law, Antonio (Beatriz) Jaramillo; special cousin, Juan (Cristy) Jaramillo; sisters-in-law, Olga (Oscar) Cantu, Gloria (Manuel) Gutierrez; brother-in-law, David Jaramillo; nieces and nephews, Taylor, Josh, Kaylyn, Oscar, Jr. , Lisa, Vanessa, Austin, Anthony, Andrew, Lee, Dulce, Nito, Gelio, Alex, Martin, Mariah; other relatives and dear friends too numerous to mention.

Todd is preceded in death by his grandmother, Genevieve Banner; father, John Willis; and uncle, Harry Banner.

A celebration of Todd’s life will take place on Saturday, September 6, 2014, 12:00pm, at Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home and Crematory, 4600 County Line Road, with Rev. Mark R. Jones officiating.  Visitation will be from 10:00am until the time of the service.

    Todd was a wonderful man who will be missed! Our family was fortunate enough to have him coach two of our sons. Todd always looked out for our oldest son Brody – also diabetic. Our deepest sympathy to the entire family. You meant the world to him!

    Beth, I’m so sorry for the loss of your brother. While taken too young, it sounds like he lived a full life through the joy he got from sports and coaching others.
