Felix S. Stachow

Oct 31, 1923 – Aug 21, 2015

    Felix S. Stachow, 91, passed away peacefully in St. Monica’s Senior Citizen Home, on Friday, August 21, 2015. Felix was born in Racine on October 31, 1923 the son of the late Anton and Louise (nee: Wogczak) Stachow.
     On February 2, 1946, in St. Joseph Catholic Church, he was united in marriage to the former Lorraine M. Bednar. Felix had been employed by the Massey-Harris Co. and later by the City of Racine Water and Waste Utility. He retired in 1987. Felix was a member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, the City of Racine 20 Year Club, the Merry Makers, the K. of C. Dartball League, and the Memorial Hall Dartball League.
    Surviving are his devoted wife of 69 years, Lorraine, their children; Susan (James) Luxem, of Caledonia, Thomas Stachow, Alan Stachow, Daniel (Linda) Stachow, all of Racine; ten grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren; two sisters, Bernice Stachow and Mary Lou Baker, both of Racine; brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, Felix was preceded in death by his great grandson, Ryan Luxem, sister, Stella Supiano, and infant sister, Virginia Stachow.
    His Mass of Christian Burial will be held in the Chapel of St. Monica’s, 3920 N. Green Bay Rd., at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 24th, with Rev. Richard J. Molter officiating. Visitation will be at St. Monica’s on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass. Entombment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery Hwy 32 Mausoleums. In lieu of flowers memorials have been suggested to St. Catherine’s High School, St. Monica’s Senior Citizen Home, or the MACC Fund.
