Sturtevant – Nicolette Kay Reed, affectionately known as “Nicki”, 64, passed away on Wednesday, December 30, 2015, at Hospice House in Pleasant Prairie.  She was born January 12, 1951, daughter of the late Robert and Beatrice (nee: Goppa) Reed.

Nicki graduated from Menominee Falls High School and earned a BA degree from Concordia University.  She was a loyal employee of Educator’s Credit Union for 23 years as a mortgage processor.  Nicki was devoted to charity work with ACS Relay for Life, Big Sisters, tutoring, foundations supporting AIDs and Breast Cancer, and The Salvation Army.  Her love for laughter and music will be missed by her friends and family dearly.

Nicki leaves to cherish her memory, her daughters, Angela Bourbonais, Laura Dahlberg; grandchildren, Kayla Bair, Jack Dahlberg; great-granddaughter, Auriana Gilliland; siblings, Doug Haise, Greye Reed, Jon Reed, Jed Reed, Robert Reed, Mark Senior Reed, James Reed, Kristen Reed, Mathew Reed, Timothy Reed, Luke Reed; nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and dear friends too numerous to mention.

Nicki is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Beatrice Reed; and sister, Polly Ann Reed.

A celebration of Nicki’s life will be held on Saturday, January 9, 2016, at Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home and Crematory, 4600 County Line Road.  Visitation will be from 10:00am until 2:00pm.  A time for reflections will take place at 2:00pm.  In lieu of flowers, the family has suggested memorial donations to the American Cancer Society Relay for Life, N19 W24350 Riverwood Drive, Waukesha, WI 53188 or (main.acsevents.org).

Testimonials

Sincere Gratitude

I can’t express my gratitude enough to Mike and the Draeger-Langendorf staff for such great service provided to us, as we made arrangements to lay our brother to rest. You all went above and beyond to make sure we understood every detail there was to know, from the greatest to the smallest. When we walked out of your office, we walked out with peace, knowing that our brother was in good hands. Thank you Mike for adding that special touch to my brother’s service, that’s the kind of stuff that separates you all from the rest. Once again Thank you so much.
