Racine – Suzanne Marie “Sue” (nee: Dykstra) Bosanec, age 67, passed away at her home surrounded by her family on Friday, June 17, 2016 following a short, courageous battle with ovarian cancer.
Sue was born in Racine on October 11, 1948 to Thomas and Charlene (nee: Lewandowski) Dykstra. She graduated from Washington Park High School in 1966. On June 15, 1968 in Racine, she was united in marriage with Thomas Paul Bosanec.
Sue enjoyed shopping on QVC, tending to her yard and flower gardens, and occasional casino trips with Tom. However, nothing gave her greater pleasure than spending time with her family especially her grandkids.
Surviving are her husband, Tom; their children, Paul (Carrie) Bosanec, Chris (Ann) Bosanec and Brad (Jaci) Bosanec; grandchildren, Isabella, Jonah and a third grandchild expected in early December 2016; father, Thomas Dykstra; brothers, Kent (Debbie) Dykstra and Brian Dykstra; sister, Wendy (Mark) Webber; sister-in-law, Sharon Bosanec; brother-in-law, Sam Ingraham; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Sue was preceded in death by her mother, Charlene Dykstra; Tom’s parents, John and Ann (nee: Perekovich) Bosanec; sister-in-law, Judy Ingraham; and brother-in-law, John Bosanec.
In keeping with Sue’s wishes, a casual gathering celebrating her life will be held at the Locknaiar Inn, 1121 Lake Ave. Racine, WI (phone 262-633-3300) on Saturday, June 25, 2016 from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials to your favorite charity has been suggested.
A special note of thanks to Dr. Denise Uyar & the Froedtert Cancer Center and Aurora at Home Hospice (especially Lynn, Jill & Brianna) for the compassionate care and support given to Sue during the past few months. Your kindness and compassion will forever be remembered.
