Racine – Martina “Tina” (nee: Mullis) Kieliszewski, age 73, passed away unexpectedly, yet peacefully, at home on Saturday, August 20, 2016.

Tina was born in Ohio on August 29, 1942 to the late Martin and Geneva (nee: Hensley) Mullis. She graduated from Washington Park High School and from the nursing program at Gateway Technical College.

Tina served our community as Licensed Practical Nurse, retiring from the Aurora Clinic on Hwy 20. Among her interests, she enjoyed stamping, card making and playing bingo. Above all, she loved spending time with her entire family.

Surviving are her son, James (Patsie) Kieliszewski; daughter, Jina (John) Tuszkiewicz; grandchildren, Jennifer Johnson (Andy Pfeffer), Nathan & Alex Kieliszewski; sisters, Pat (Don) Freymuth and Vickie (Phil) Sorensen; sister-in-law, Lynn Mullis; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, Tina was preceded in death by her sister, Peggy Mullis; brother, Marty Mullis; and her beloved canine companion, Annie.

An open house / memorial gathering will be held on Thursday, August 25, 2016 from 3:00 – 6:00 pm at the Racine Architect Hotel (formerly known as the Marriott), 7111 Washington Avenue.

Testimonials

Thank you so very much for the exemplary care that you provided for both our mom and dad. Your family is extremely kind and exudes much empathy towards others. You and your staff display much professionalism with great talent and attention to detail. Mom and dad were always very particular in their appearance. Mom would say, You are leaving a lasting impression of yourself with someone to remember you by. Your parents taught you boys well; be very proud of that! Love on them, as death is so very permanent.

Holly and I are officially orphans now. It is people like your family and David Huck being there for us, that bring comfort when you are going through one of the most difficult challenges life throws at you.

I thank God every day for our Ostergaard family and will always cherish the memories.

Love you,

Jody Burlingame Wagner
