Memorial Suggestions
A gathering will be held at Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home on Saturday, September 17th from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m.

William G. Schlachter, 62, passed away at his residence. He was born in Chicago, IL on July 29, 1954 the son of the late Frank and Marjorie (nee: Goettler) Schlachter.
Bill graduated from St. Catherine’s High School in 1972. He was a member of the Cross Country and Track teams that won several state titles back in the day at St Cat’s. He continued to be lifelong friends with fellow teammates. Bill went on to get his Bachelor’s degree in Forestry from the University of Minnesota. He was employed by S.C. Johnson and Son for over 30 year retiring in 2011.
He enjoyed spending time at his property near Castle Rock Lake in the summer and New Smyrna Beach, FL in the winter. He enjoyed fishing, traveling and enjoying the camaraderie with his friends. He was a long time member of the Racine Curling Club. Bill was also a member of the Johnson 30 Year Club and the J.M.B.A.
Surviving are his brother and sister-in- law, Neal and Jamie Schlachter, of Monona, WI; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and a host of close friends. In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Ellen Rasmussen.
A gathering for his family and friends will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, September 17 th,

We will miss seeing Bill now and then. He would stop by on his way when we would be out in the yard or on our deck. He was so proud of the VW Van that was his father’s. We always enjoyed visiting with him. We are so sorry. We are friends from the Castle Rock Area.
