Richard "Dick" Clayton Koykkari

Private services will be held.

Racine – Richard Clayton Koykkari, age 79, passed away at Wheaton Franciscan – All Saints Medical Center, surrounded by loving family, on Thursday, September 29, 2016.

Dick was born in Racine on June 12, 1937 son of the late Nick and LaVerne (nee: Luhn) Koykkari.

He was employed for about 27 years for Sears Roebuck Company, retiring as a division manager. Dick was united in marriage with Arlene (nee: Biljan, Rawley) Koykkari for over 32 years. She preceded him in death on May 18, 2009.

For most of his life, Dick was an avid swimmer and reader. He also enjoyed riding his bicycle. In recent years, he was an ardent volunteer for Habitat for Humanity ReStore. Above all, Dick loved spending time with his family and friends.

Surviving are his two children, Kristopher (Julie) Koykkari and Kimberly (James) Yoghourtjian; three step-children, Scott (Lelia) Rawley, Tod Rawley and Jamie Rawley; grandchildren, Alexis (Pete) Matson, Aaron (Liz) Koykkari, and Nicole (Eric) Fanning; step-grandchildren, Louis Rawley and Elizabeth Rawley; great-grandchildren, Teagan and Kristian Koykkari; brother, Lonnel Koykkari; sister-in-law, Carol Koykkari; special friend, Mary Vite; nieces, nephew, other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents and wife, Dick was preceded in death by his brother, Neal Koykkari and by his infant sister.

In accordance with Dick’s wishes, private family services will be held. In memory of Dick, offer a kind deed to someone in need.

A special note of thanks to the staff at Ridgewood Care Center for the compassionate care and support given in Dick’s time of need. May God bless all of you!
