RACINE – Mr. Richard L. “Chicken” Wade, 66, was called home on Wednesday, November 9, 2016.

Richard was born May 28. 1950 to Maxine Rose Wade and Roy Wade in Brookport, IL.  He received his education in Brookport, IL and Paducah, Kentucky.  He later moved to Racine, WI.

He became a member of New Omega Church in the late 1980’s under the leadership of Pastor Fred L. Richmond, Sr.  He was united in marriage to Linda (Story) Wade on May 28, 1988.

Richard was employed by American Motors and now Chrysler of Kenosha, WI for 37 ½ years, retiring in 2002.  He loved fishing, shooting pool, and darts.  He was a member of Ushers Board of New Omega Church.

He leaves to cherish his wife, Linda Wade, two sons, Cleveland (Monica) Wade of Racine, Richard (Shadecie) Wade, Jr. of Texas, two stepsons; Cedric (Melissa) Story of Racine, Dialo Orr of Racine, one adopted daughter; Lashandra Story of Racine; godson, Devonte Story of Racine; sixteen grandchildren, too numerous to name; one sister, Rosie M. Wade of Atlanta, GA; three brothers, Edward (Brenda) Wade, Earl Wade, and Reggie Wade all of Paducah, KY; special aunt and uncle Maria (William) Jones of Racine; a special cousin, Woody Hamilton of Racine; as well as a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews.  Richard was also preceded in death by his parents, Roy Wade and Rosie Maxine (Shannon) Wade. Richard will be dearly missed by so many who knew and loved him.

Family and friends are invited to meet at New Omega Baptist Church (5731 Northwestern Ave.) on Friday, November 18, 2016 for a visitation from 10-11 a.m.  A service celebrating his life and Homegoing will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Fred Richmond officiating. His interment will follow at Graceland Cemetery.
