Racine – Thomas John Obry, age 69, passed away peacefully Ascension All Saints Hospital on Wednesday, December 28, 2016.
A lifetime resident, Tom was born in Racine on July 21, 1947 to the late William W. and Carol J. (nee: Baumgartner) Obry, Sr. He graduated from Washington Park High School in 1965. Tom faithfully served our country with the United States Air Force. He was a machinist at Twin Disc and, for many years, an over the road trucker. Tom was an avid fisherman and proud member of Salmon Unlimited.
Surviving are his soulmate of 16 years, Kathy Wells; his children, Linda (Jason) Michalek, Kristine (Dennis) Meyers and Thomas (Katie) Obry; grandchildren, Maranda, Grant, Vivian and Grady; sisters, Karen (Gary) Pofahl and Mary (Donald) Evenson; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
In addition to his parents, Tom was preceded in death by his brother, William (wife, Patricia) Obry.
A prayer service will be held in the Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at 6:00 pm. Military honors will follow. Visitation will be in the funeral home on Wednesday from 3:00 – 6:00 pm.

Uncle Tom will be missed dearly. I will forever have fond memories from my childhood spending family time with him. He was a great uncle that I loved dearly.
