Harrietta Fields-Walton

Feb 14, 1935 – Mar 29, 2017

Racine – Harrietta I. Fields-Walton, 82, affectionately known as “Sista”, passed away at All Saints Hospital on Wednesday, March 29, 2017. She was born in West Memphis, Arkansas on February 14, 1935, daughter of the late Levi and Olley Lewis. Sista grew up in Missouri, and spent most of her life in Chicago until moving to Covert, Michigan and finally to Racine.

A woman of deep and strong faith, Sista enjoyed reading the bible, listening to gospel music, and was a talented seamstress. She made drapes, wedding dresses, choir robes, and anything else a person might need. She also enjoyed quilting and crocheting.

She is survived by her loving son and daughter-in-law, Danny and Dianne Fields of Sturtevant; brothers Richard (Ruth) Lewis of Chicago, James (Emily) Lewis of Fisher, Indiana, and Cleo (Helen) Lewis of Chesapeake, Virginia; sisters Christine Scott of Homewood, Illinois, Bertha Runnels, Dorothy (Roy) White, Earline Andrus all of Kansas City, Missouri; and a host of cousins, nephews, nieces and other relatives. She was also preceded in death by her sister Maxine Lewis; and brothers Levi Lewis Jr. and George Lewis.

Homegoing services will be held in the Greater Works International Prayer Center (1034 West Blvd) on Saturday, April 8, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor Billy Johnson officiating. Public visitation will be from 9:30 until the start of the service.
