RACINE  – Willie James Hood (Playa), affectionately known as James, age 48, passed away on Thursday, April 13, 2017 at Beloit Memorial Hospital in  Beloit, Wisconsin. James was born on November 18, 1968 to L.H. Hood & Lucille Hood in Drew Ms. James received his formal education in the Racine Unified School District. James also worked for the Duck Farm in Franksville, Wisconsin.

James enjoyed laughing & dancing but playing dominos was his favorite thing to do.  He loved his family, friends and always kept a smile on his face.  He was the grandson of Mr. Albert and Dessierea Roscoe who preceded him in death along with his father L.H. Hood, his brothers Cliff Roscoe & Rodney Hood, his nephew, Fredrick Jackson & best friend Lil Mike.

James leaves to cherish his memories, His Children LaToya, Tony, Torvette, Torrance, Torvell & Torshae, his mother, Lucille Hood; three sisters,  Annie (Robert) Hayes of Racine WI; Bettie Roscoe of Racine, WI & Tasha Sparks of Kenosha, WI; four brothers, London Hood of WI, Larry Hood of Chicago, Ill. Danny (Kaome) Hood of Racine, WI;  Lamar Sparks of Kenosha, WI; 10 grandchildren, one special aunt & uncle Dorris Roscoe & Amos Roscoe and a special niece, Latoya Roscoe.  He also leaves to cherish a host Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, Relatives, and Friends. The family of Willie “James” Hood would like to extend a special thanks to Beloit Memorial Hospital for offering their hands and hearts to care for our loved one.

Family and friends are invited to meet in the Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home on Saturday, April 22, 2017 for a visitation and viewing from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m.   His Homegoing celebration will follow at 12:00 p.m.

    Playa, HOOD… The one with the cool walk an funny humor. This comes as a shock to me. 3MC is how it all started. There will never be another old school group like the first. Soon we look foward to Gods will being do on earth. Revelation 21:3,4. We will hug, laugh, an enjoy life to the full. My condolences to the family.
