I have a lot of great memories about grandpa from when we were little kids going to the farm in Crivitz with my brothers and cousins and grandpa would let us all take turns riding his Honda motorcycle up and down the road even though none of had our drivers licenses up to 40 years later visiting him in Neenah. But the best one and anyone who ever knew Grandpa will get a kick out of this, was back in January 1990 when I was 19 years old. A friend of mine and I visited Grandma and Grandpa when they were in Florida that year and Grandpa let us live in their cabin out in the middle of the woods on a little lake in Silver Springs. We and contemplating getting part time jobs but Grandpa told us not to and that we should just fish and have fun and when we run out of money go back to Wisconsin. Anyway getting to the best part one night the wind blew and a huge tree limb snapped and was hanging over the driveway but would need to be cut the rest of the way. So the next morning the 3 of us are standing there trying to figure out how we are going to cut this thing down as it is up there about 20 feet high. We didn’t have a ladder that tall and Matt and I are kind of like hmm…. we have no idea. Grandpa says to us ” Go get your shotguns”. 2 boxes of 12 gauge shotgun shells later the problem was solved! We stayed 3 more months ran out of money and came home. Best winter ever.

Michael,

First, let me start out by saying you were a God sent working with me for many years in preparations for my mom’s Homegoing Celebration December 7, 2024.  Even though this was our first time meeting in person, I felt like I already knew you.  Michael, you demonstrated  professionalism, empathy and, your warmth was surprising for me considering your role as a Funeral Director. Your attention to every detail, patient and support has made this process much easier for my family and me. I trusted you and you helped me find closure in a moment of great sadness, and for that we’re eternally grateful. I appreciate the time and energy you put into ensuring everything ran smoothly considering I reside in a different state.  Michael, my mom would have loved you and our family is forever grateful for your unwavering dedication and support during our season of grief.  May the Lord make His face shine upon you, and be gracious to you. (Numbers 6:25)
