RACINE – James Edward Carter, 26, passed away unexpectedly at his residence on Monday, May 8, 2017.

He was born in Chicago on March 4, 1991.  He attended Gilmore Jr. High School and William Horlick High School.

James enjoyed playing guitar, dancing, video games and being in the company of his family; especially his children.

He is survived by his children, Noel Marie Carter and James Edward Carter, Jr.; mother, Mary Denise Carter; his brother, Malik Tyrese Kentle; his grandmother, Pearline Lowrey; his biological mother, Barbara Clemons; father, James Clerk Sr.; siblings, Zerma Clemon, Mary Mac Clemon, Jahnai Cain, Deja Cain, William Clemon, James Clerk; his special friend, Elizabeth Gascoigne; as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Family and friends are invited to meet in the Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home on Saturday, May 20, 2017 for a visitation from 9-10 a.m.  The celebration of his life and Homegoing will follow at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Willie Riley officiating.  His interment will take place in Graceland Cemetery after the service at the funeral home.
