Eleanor R. Mahdik

Service Details

A Memorial Service, celebrating her life, will be held in the funeral home, on Saturday, June 17th, at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Luke Jacob officiating. Entombment will follow in Graceland Cemetery. Memorials, for those who wish, can be directed to Pentecost Lutheran Church.

Eleanor R. Mahdik, 94, passed away in Somers on Friday, June 2, 2017. She was born in Racine on July 31, 1922 the daughter of the late John and Rose (nee: Kollar) Paluch.

Eleanor served her country during WWII in the U.S. Coast Guard. She was a graduate of Washington Park High School. She attended beautician school. Eleanor was a longtime employee of Rudd Electric.

She was member of Pentecost Lutheran Church, the Leesburg, FL American Legion Post 330. Eleanor enjoyed gardening, golfing, and being with family and friends.

Surviving are her daughter, Bonnie Smith, of Sturtevant; grandchildren, John R. (Charmaine) Smith,

Kelly (Joseph) Church; great-granddaughter, Hana Church; niece, Deborah Bell of Edgerton; great- nephew, Gary (Kari) Bell, of Madison; great-great-nephews, Adam Peschel and Trevor Bell. In addition to her parents, Eleanor was preceded in death by her beloved husband, of nearly 50 years, Robert Mahdik, two sisters, Emily Paluch and Elizabeth Bell, and nephew, Glenn Bell.
