Julie’s Personal Touch

Raymond- Lillian Orlando, age 93, passed away on Sunday, September 17, 2017, in the loving arms of her children. She was born in Chicago on June 3, 1924, daughter of the late Samuel and Angeline (nee: Di Giovanna) Armato. Lillian was married in Milwaukee to Louie Edward Orlando on November 25, 1948. Together they dedicated their lives to their family and farm in Raymond. Sadly, Louie passed away in 2012.

Lillian enjoyed life on the farm and raising four children. Lillian enjoyed cooking, reading and gardening. The coffee pot was always on the kitchen stove, and she loved sharing a cup with family and friends. She enjoyed the fellowship of her friends in her home based Christian church.

Lillian is survived by her children: Dennis (Rhonda) Orlando, Mary (Bruce) Stockwell, Louie (Jeannine) Orlando all of Mt. Pleasant, and James (Julie) Orlando of Claremore, Oklahoma; grandchildren: Lauri (Greg) Theisen, Jennifer (Paul) Maier, Dennis J. Orlando, Sheila (John) Nelson, JoAnn (Scott) Breuchel, Lisa (Ray) Yucha, Vincent (Stephanie) Orlando, Brandon (Kristen) Orlando, Lindsay Orlando, Nicole Orlando, Kevin Wilson, and Bryan Wilson; 14 great-grandchildren; sister Angeline Koell of West Allis; sister-in-law Janet Armato of West Bend; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was also preceded in death by her brothers Samuel Armato and Joseph Armato; and brother-in-law Harold Koell.

Complete services will be held in the funeral home on Wednesday, September 20, 2017. Visitation will begin at 2:30pm and be followed by her funeral service at 4:30pm. Interment at West Lawn Memorial Park will be private. Memorials to the Salvation Army or Humane Society honoring Lillian have been suggested.

The family wishes to thank the staff of Grace Hospice and Home Inspired Senior Living for their wonderful care.

Michael,

First, let me start out by saying you were a God sent working with me for many years in preparations for my mom’s Homegoing Celebration December 7, 2024.  Even though this was our first time meeting in person, I felt like I already knew you.  Michael, you demonstrated  professionalism, empathy and, your warmth was surprising for me considering your role as a Funeral Director. Your attention to every detail, patient and support has made this process much easier for my family and me. I trusted you and you helped me find closure in a moment of great sadness, and for that we’re eternally grateful. I appreciate the time and energy you put into ensuring everything ran smoothly considering I reside in a different state.  Michael, my mom would have loved you and our family is forever grateful for your unwavering dedication and support during our season of grief.  May the Lord make His face shine upon you, and be gracious to you. (Numbers 6:25)
