Mount Pleasant – Jerrold W. Andreason, 78, passed away on Wednesday, October 11, 2017 as the result of an accident at his residence.
Jerry was born on December 13, 1938 and was a lifelong resident of Racine. He graduated from Park High School and then joined the Army National Guard. He married Karen Neubauer on May 27, 1961.
Jerry was a Teamster who worked as a mechanic and in construction at Bud’s Garage, Goetz Trucking, Lang Engineering, and finally Dykstra Bros. Excavating where he worked for Don, Marlin, and Todd Dykstra. After retirement, Jerry spent countless hours tinkering in his garage, often enlisting his son and grandsons to help with projects. He could fix anything and his advice will be missed by many who called for his help. When Karen could get him to hang up his toolbelt, they enjoyed spending time together with their children and grandchildren, and going out to eat or visiting car shows with relatives and friends.
Surviving Jerry is his wife of 56 years, Karen; daughter Dana (Dave) Kohlmeyer, Manitowoc, WI; son Eric Andreason, Sturtevant, WI; grandchildren Kendall and Katie Kohlmeyer, Eric Nicholas, Travis, and Brenon Andreason, and Shaun Hanke; sister-in-law Carol Vrana; brother-in-law Ray Vrana; and other relatives and special friends.
Jerry was preceded in death by his mother, Elsie Nehlich; his father James Andreason, mother-in-law Luella Neubauer, father-in-law Arthur Neubauer; and various aunts and uncles.
