DuWayne and I spent many years working together at ISE. We hunted together, partied together, and had many laughs and good times. RIP my friend.

Just saw this – over a year later – was looking up DuWayne to see how things are going for him – bummer. Sometimes one waits far too long to get back in communication. We were in a band many decades ago, when we were teenagers. DuWayne was the drummer, steady, awesome, into pushing limits while keeping a solid beat. I played lead guitar and sang, and we had a bassist and occasionally a rhythm guitarist too. Mostly did covers of the era, House of the Rising Sun, Sunshine of Your Love, Satisfaction, Light My Fire, etc. but also made things up spur of the inspired moment. I moved away ages ago when I was still a teenager, caught up in the attempted revolution making of those times – even spending time in Cuba before landing in the western mountain wildlands for much of this life. And changed my name too in the process. DuWayne used to record our band on his reel to reel tapes – did he ever do anything with these – would love to hear them if they are still around. Did he continue playing drums? Or music? Wishing you all well, it is all-ways hard when loved ones journey beyond the dimensions of this life! RIP my ol’ friend!
