David Lee Tyler “T-BONE” closed his eyes one last time Sunday, December 17, 2017 at his home in Racine, WI surrounded by his loves ones.

David was born August 10, 1957 in Osceola, Arkansas to the Union of the late Gertie Mae Tramble and Henry Tyler Sr. David knew Christ at a young age and believed he would call him home to glory one day.

David graduated from J.I Case High School, Class of 1975. David was as a setup/die cast operator by trade and was employed at Acme Die casting for Twenty Five years. David later worked at Intermet operating a robotic die cast machine and finally retired from Shiloh. He also pursued a technical diploma as a CNC Machinist at Gateway Technical College.

David was united in Holy Matrimony to Helen Beavers-Tyler in their home on February 13, 1997 in Racine, WI. David and Helen had known each other since elementary school and spent Forty Two Wonderful Years together. This union resulted in the birth of 3 beautiful daughters.

David was a “die hard” Green Bay Packer fan. He enjoyed going to football practice with his grandson Ciren “Bob”. He enjoyed watching sports. Throughout his high school career he was a well-known athlete at J.I. Case High School. David loved spending time with his family whether it was traveling to a family reunion, fish fry, barbeque or a family gathering in yard, he enjoyed every minute of it.  Nothing gave David more pleasure then spending precious time with his grandchildren.  David loved to push his luck and play the lottery from time to time. He also enjoyed television shows such as Law & Order, Blue Bloods, Westerns w/Clint Eastwood and John Wayne, and he also Kung Fu movies featuring Bruce Lee. His favorite treats and doughnuts came from O&H Bakery.

He leaves to cherish precious memories with his children, Nonana Allen, Kidia Tyler, Cynthia Tyler, Daodie (Carletta) Moore, and Jeanna Barnes; brothers and sisters; Evelen Smith of Texas, Tommy (Ella) Hill of Chicago, IL, JoAnn Hill (Osceola, AR), Logan (Avis) Tyler, Mary (Bill) Bland, Henry (Sherry) Tyler of Hinesville, GA, Andrew (Linda) Tyler; brother and sister-in-law; Carolyn (George) Berryman, Laura (Joe) Jones, Willie Esther (Willie) Mosley all of Racine, Jean Malone of Milwaukee, WI, Diane (Pete) Davidson of Arizona. Ellis Holmon Beavers Jr, Samuel Beavers, Jim Beavers of Racine, WI and Allen (Yvonne) Racine, WI; grandchildren Kaneesha Powell, Kayla Williams, Kaliyah Liggins, Kaliese Majors, Clytise McGee, Kiontae Burns, and Ciren Tyler; great granddaughter, Neleh Avery;  extended children, Aaron Mcgee, Valerie Day-Hein, Shalanda Bell, and Kent Burns;  special friends, Daniel Williams, Ann and Alvin White, Vickie (Mike) Daye, Phyllis Canady, Sergeant Rick Toeller, Rachel Trobaugh, Johnny and Sue Taylor; Special Crew Rodney, Von, Edgar, Selena and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Helen Beavers-Tyler; his mother, Gertie Mae Tramble; parents; Henry (Elma) Tyler Jr.; grandparents, Henry Tyler Sr., Mahalia Baker; mother and father-in-law, Maggie (Holmon Ellis) Beavers; granddaughter, Ciara McGee;  best friend, Marcus Allen; brother in-law, Robert Honeycutt; brother and sisters, Dewey Bobo, Jimmy Hill, and Betty Jean Hood; nieces and nephews, Fajuan Bell, Antonio Hood, Trudy Hood, Deonta Lezine, Rodney Shaw Jr., and Chaute Tyler.

David Lee Tyler, age 60; passed away peacefully at his residence on Sunday December 17, 2017.

Please accept my sympathies of your loss. In the days and weeks to come may you find comfort from the promise found in the bible at Revelation 21:4, ” and he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor pain be anymore. Then former things have passed away.’

    Sincere sympathies,

Testimonials

December 18, 2024

Words cannot even begin to express the tremendous gratitude our family has for a team like the one at Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home & Crematory. Thank you for the gentle lovely care over our mother Delia (Rosa) Balderas. Never having had a direct experience with a funeral home to this extent we didn’t know what to expect. We didn’t have a clue that they would step right in and have the most comforting team surrounding us that thought of ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING for anyone in our position. It was very evident from the first discussion on the phone that they were already well prepared to handle every little detail for us that we weren’t even aware would be required. Mark and his team truly eased so much of the unknown worries right out of our path, and left room for us to just focus on the small personal details we wanted for our mom. It was nice to know that all cost involved was in black and white on their site as well as on paper at our first meeting. Leaving no room for question or doubt what so ever with any fee involved. It was truly a blessing to have everything written out so well and simplified with various price range options in a time that we needed crystal clear direction. Its been beautiful to see that their care and service didn’t stop after our mom’s service came to an end. They continue to be in communication with immediate responses as questions arise along the way. God bless Mark, and the entire compassionate team, to be around to guide many many more for generations to come through life’s most difficult times. You are all truly amazing.

Hilda Balderas
