Momawaldo Barker, age 41, entered eternal life, peace and happiness on January 2, 2018.  He was born to James Barker Sr. and Carol Ann Massie-Davis on June 1, 1976.

Momo accepted Christ at a very young age.  He was a loving man and very, very funny…his laughter was infectious.  Momo was a fan of basketball and football, his favorite team was the Atlanta Falcons.  Momo enjoyed fishing for hours and playing basketball.  He loved cooking, especially grilling outdoors.  Some of his specialties were: burgers, steaks, ribs and fried cabbage.  He called himself Chef Mo-r-Dee.   His all time favorite rapper was Too Short.

His radiant smile and fast talking will be missed.

If anyone asked Momo what his greatest accomplishment in life was, he would say being a Father.  Cherishing his memory are his Children: Devion, Sanovia, Antonio, Kitchiana, Momalesha, Jameer (Junior), Jaylyn and Dejahnie.  Grandchildren: Kyrell, Paris III, Meah and Maleah.  His Father,  James Barker Sr., Sisters: Tauneshe (Mack) Davis, NaKhaka Davis, Pamela Barker, Paula Barker, Sha’Queta Streeter, Kala Barker and Christel Barker-Demmings, Brother, James Barker III and his Favorite Cousin, Debbie Albritton.

He is also survived by a host of Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and Friends, all of whom he loved unconditionally.

He was preceded in death by his Mother, Carol Ann Massie-Davis, Maternal Grandparents: Ernest Ray Massie and Dorothy Bell-Massie, Paternal Grandparents: Willie and Burmia Barker, Brothers: James Barker, Jr. and Artis Echols.

A Celebration of His Life will be held on Friday, January 12, 2018, 5:00pm in the Chapel of Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home, 4600 County Line Rd, Racine, WI.  Visitation will be in the funeral home 3:00 – 5:00pm.

Testimonials

October 22, 2015

Dear Bob,
I just wanted to thank you again for all your help and everything you did for my grandfather’s funeral. Looking back on it, I think Gramps would have been so proud of how everything turned out and it would not have been possible without your help. Your staff is amazing and has allowed us the grieve without worrying about the little details of everything that goes into making the arrangements and planning the services. You helped us honor one of the most amazing men in my life, and it meant so much to me personally and to my family. Thank you for everything.
Take care,
Jessie Tuttle
