Samuel Joseph Sanchez

Jul 27, 1969 – Feb 20, 2018

Service Details

Memorial Service: Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at 3 pm in Mount Pleasant Lutheran Church (1700 S. Green Bay Road in Racine). A time to visit with the family, including a luncheon, will follow the service.

Racine – Samuel Joseph Sanchez, age 48, passed away unexpectedly in his sleep on Tuesday, February 20, 2018.

Sam was born in Racine on July 27, 1969. He attended J.I. Case High School. A self-taught handyman, a man of many talents and a jack-of-all-trades, Sam was a master mason / bricklayer – having worked on many building projects in our community.

Early in life, Sam was a member of Atonement Lutheran Church, now known as Living Faith Lutheran Church. Among his interests, Sam was an avid fisherman, made beautiful jewelry, and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Known sometimes as “Benny”, Sam was loved by so many family members & friends (including his caring medical staff). He truly loved them all in return!

Surviving are his children, Samuel J. Sanchez III, Nicholas Sanchez, Skylar Sanchez and Sophia Sanchez; grandson, Kayson; mother, Carol Armstrong; sisters, Cindy (Miguel) Duran and Sherry Carrion; nieces and nephews, Joshua, Adam, Michael, Michelle, Amy, Aaron (Savanna); great-niece, Paisley Jean; mother-of-his-children, Jodi Pete; dear friend, Kim Eisel & her family; many other relatives and friends – too numerous to mention all by name. Sam was preceded in death by his father, Santos Joseph Sanchez and sister, Kathy Carrion.

A memorial service to celebrate Sam’s life will be held on Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at 3:00 pm in Mount Pleasant Lutheran Church (1700 S. Green Bay Rd. in Racine) with Pastor Krista Zimmerman officiating. A time to visit with the family, including a luncheon, will follow the service.

Sam our memories go back so many years! I just can’t wrap my head around the fact that you are truly gone. I seems so surreal. I know you are in a much better place but I am sure going to miss that infectious smile. You always had a kind word to say to help a lost soul get through the day. You will definitely be missed by many. See you on the other side. RIP Sammy Sanchez! XOXOXO
