Elaine was born in Peaksville, WI on June 28, 1928 to the late Felix and Margaret (nee: Bucheger) DeCaire. On November 14, 1953 in St. John Nepomuk Catholic Church, she was united in marriage with the love of her life, Angelo “Ang” Puma. They proudly celebrated their 64th Wedding Anniversary this past year prior to Angelo passing away on December 9, 2017.

Elaine was a proud member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Among her interests, she enjoyed camping, knitting, crocheting, crafts and casino gambling. Above all, Elaine loved being a mother, grandmother & great-grandmother who cherished the times spent with her entire family.

Surviving are her children, Angelo James (Nancy) Puma, Gary (Rose) Puma, Sandi (Dan) Bojcic and Sue Buckson; grandchildren, Kellie (Josh) Davidson, Angelo Michael (Shelley) Puma, Kim (Chris) Hanson, Tony (Isabel) Olson, Angie Olson, Doria (Bill) Nedd, Amy (Brandon) SerVoss, Mike Bojcic, Joe Bojcic and Anthony Buckson; great-grandchildren, Caleb Davidson, Angelo Jacob “AJ” and Allie Puma; Kourtney and Kenzie Hanson; Brianna, Gabriel, Evan and Isabella Olson; Rebekah and Jordan Nedd; Amy, Audra and Alden SerVoss; sister-in-law, Carolyn Schuessler; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends – too numerous to mention all by name.

In addition to her parents and husband, Elaine was preceded in death by her great-granddaughter, Katelyn Davidson; brother, Duane (Donna) DeCaire; Ang’s parents, Angelo and Carmela (nee: DiPasquale) Puma; and brothers-in-law, James Puma, Charles (Lillian) Puma and Jack Schuessler.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 6, 2018 at 11:00 am in Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home with Fr. Steve Varghese officiating. Entombment will take place in the mausoleum of Graceland Cemetery. A memorial luncheon will follow. Visitation will be in the funeral home on Friday from 9:00 – 11:00 am.

I knew Elaine and Angelo from St. Joseph Catholic Church. They never missed Sunday Mass until Angelo couldn’t drive them there anymore. I can picture them sitting together in the side section up near the altar. We enjoyed many chats before Mass. Lovely people with a great sense of humor.

It was a joy and an honor to get to know Elaine and Angelo during this past year. I brought Communion to them each week and always felt welcome in their home. They are together again as I am sure was their prayer. My sympathy to you all.

Testimonials

May 24, 2018

Our family wants to thank Mike and the staff of Draeger-Langendorf for their compassion and caring in the death of our mother. They attended to every detail with such professionalism and made this difficult time so much easier by unburdening us of all that needs to be done with the arrangements. We all felt that there was nothing more they could have been done. It was perfect. We can now go forward with the memories that we hold in our hearts of mom and know that we provided the best possible service by choosing Draeger-Langendorf.
