Nekoosa – Shelby Jean Bohn, 79, received the promise of eternal life on Monday, April 23, 2018, at home surrounded by the love of her family.  She was born in Racine on September 13, 1938, daughter of the late Russell and Louise (née: Uttech) Keebler.

Shelby was united in marriage to the love of her life, Donald Lee Bohn, on October 14, 1961.  Don preceded her in death on January 25, 2013.

Shelby enjoyed spending time in her garden tending to her beautiful flowers.  She also enjoyed shopping with her daughters.  She also like travelling with her family and spent time at such places as Branson, MO, and Disney World.  Shelby liked to try her luck at the Rainbow Casino close to home.  Above all, she loved her family tremendously and enjoyed every moment she was able to spend with them.

Shelby leaves to cherish her memory, children, Evelyn (Max Woller) Kempfer of Racine, Shelly (Warren) Leschinsky of Wisconsin Rapids, Kevin (Cindi) Bohn of Racine, Sandra (Dan) Spanske of Nekoosa, Danny (Tina) Bohn of Almond; grandchildren, Danyl Bohn, Travis Harris, Jerod Leschinsky, Paul (Sandra) Woller, Carisa (Tony) Hubli, Kyle Woller, Nicholas Spanske, Chad Spanske, Aleah Spanske, Emily Bohn, Travis Leach, TJ (Megan) Jensen, Stephany Jensen; great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Ty, Kody, Levi, Brianna, Joey; sister, Sharon Mead of Friendship; sister-in-law, Carol Johnson; other relatives and dear friends too numerous to mention.

In addition to her parents and husband, Shelby is preceded in death by her son, Mark Allen Bohn; great-grandson, Zachary Jensen; brothers-in-law, Frank Mead, and Jim Johnson.

A celebration of Shelby’s life will be held on Friday, April 27, 2018, 12:00pm, at Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home and Crematory, 4600 County Line Road, Mount Pleasant.  Visitation will be from 10:00am until the time of the service.  Interment will take place on Wednesday, May 2, 2018, 11:00am, at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 21731 Spring Street, Union Grove.

The family would like to extend a heart-felt “Thank You” to Heartland Hospice for the love and care given to Shelby and our family during this difficult time.

Please accept our sympathy. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. The days will be longer at first. Just remember grieve is the price we pay for love. Mom and Dad are together now, reunited in perfection with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

    R.I.P. Shelby
I’m sorry for the suffering you endured but now you are without pain. I remember the good times we had on Perry Avenue and all the games the 4 of us played when our kids were little. We had some late nights but always fun and lots of laughs.
