KENOSHA – Michael A. Sciarra, 54, passed away at Froedtert South – St. Catherine’s Campus on Monday, May 7, 2018.

He was born in Kenosha on May 25, 1963, the son of Ralph A. and Susan M. (nee: Cosentino) Sciarra.  He graduated from Tremper High School in 1981 and played on the 1979 and 1980 state champion football teams.  On May 24, 2014 he married his soul mate and best friend Sandra K. Dyer.

Mike worked as a building and security specialist for American Building Services in Wheeling, IL.  and was truly loved by his employers, coworkers, and customers.

He was a loving and kind man that, even after death, helped his fellow man by having his corneas donated and will give sight to two people.

Everyone that crossed paths with Mike loved him dearly, his laugh was infectious and his story telling is legendary, to be on the receiving end of his stories kept you laughing for hours. Mike was so full of life and passion he loved fishing, traveling, visiting football stadiums and going to concerts.  However, he was happiest when he was with family, for game nights or holidays or any family gathering.

In addition to his loving wife, Sandi, Michael is survived by his son, Tony Sciarra of Madison; his daughter, Nicole Sciarra; his father, Ralph Sciarra; his sister, Lynn (Chris) Gray; his aunt, Terry Cosentino; his niece and nephew, Tayler Schroeder, Kyle Schroeder; his special extended family, Kim (Lance) Buisse, Damon (Melanie) Landro; his best friend, Greg Feivor all of Kenosha; as well as many other dear relatives and friends.  Michael was preceded in death by his mother, Susan Sciarra.

Family and friends are invited to meet in the Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home on Monday, May 14, 2018 from 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. for a visitation and time to meet with his family.  A service celebrating and honoring Michael’s life will follow at 4:00 p.m.  A dinner will follow the service at a location to be determined.  A private interment will take place at St. James Cemetery.

Michael’s family extends a heartfelt thank you to Lynn Gray and Terry Cosentino for the loving care they provided him during his illness.

Sorry for you loss. My sincerest wish for strength during this difficult time for the family, especially to Tony and Nicole. Your father was such a fun man and I enjoyed his joyful ways….
He was always available to help out. I will reflect on his kind nature and appreciate his assistance at the school, both as a volunteer parent and also in his capacity in the trades.
