Service Details

Viewing will be at Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home on Saturday, May 30, 2020 from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm.

In accordance with Racine County mandate, only 50 people will be allowed to enter the funeral home at a time.  You may be required to wait outside until others leave the building.  For the safety and security of our guests we also require those in attendance to wear a face covering.  We thank everyone for their understanding and cooperation during this difficult time.

Racine – Gressie Lee Poole, age 63, entered into eternity on May 20, 2020.  Gressie was born August 28, 1956 to Willie Lee and Virginia Ann Poole (McCarty) in Laurel, Mississippi.

He was employed by General Converters and Assembly.  A little on the quiet side, Gressie enjoyed watching old TV shows and hanging out with his entire family.

Gressie was preceded in death by his parents; brother Cleveland; brothers-in-law Thomas Ferrell and James Klyce; and nieces LaKendra Cheeks and Jonquil Poole.

He leaves to cherish the memories of 8 sisters: Flora (Fred) Morris, Yvonne Klyce, Celia (Ronald), Glenda, Debroah Clark (Laurel, MS), Lillie, Elmira and Jeanette (Jerry) Ferrell;  3 brothers Willie (Trish), Victor (Laurel, MS) and David Clark; sister-in-law Paula; one aunt Patricia Holloway; 30 nieces and nephews; 40 great-nieces and great-nephews.

Although he had no children biologically, he had a remarkably great relationship with nieces Kandice, Priscilla and Brittany.  He was well taken care of by his family, with his sisters as special caretakers Yvonne (oil) and Glenda. Special daughter Aimee Campbell.  Special friends Milton Dockery, Willie “Dog” Brown, Rose Campbell, Carol Tidwell and Freddie King.

Viewing will be at Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home on Saturday, May 30, 2020 from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm.
