Julie Rae Field, age 67, of Mount Pleasant, WI passed away Thursday, July 23, 2020 at Ascension All Saints Hospital in Racine.  Julie was born June 9, 1953 in Racine, WI, the daughter of John and Shirley (Scheel) Psiones.  She was a resident of Racine her entire life and loved growing up with a lot of family nearby.

She graduated from Case High School Class of 1970 and St. Luke’s School of Nursing as an RN in 1982.  Julie was asked to dance by her future husband, Gary, at The Sound, an event at the local YMCA.  They married October 6, 1973.  She made it to the hospital in a neighbors’ four-wheel drive vehicle during the record snowstorm of 1979 to give birth to her son Ben and was ecstatic to adopt her son Brian in 1990.

She worked various jobs over the years including Lincoln Village Convalescent Center, Nutrisystem, and The Blood Center, but spent most of her years at home raising her two boys.  She made many lifelong friends through school, church, and jobs.  Julie loved to doodle on any piece of paper she had and share the latest jokes she had read with her friends and family. Julie was thrown some curveballs health-wise during the last 20 years of her life, but she continued to say how blessed she was right up until the end.  She held tightly to her faith in the Lord and through His grace, looked forward to eternity with Him.

Julie is preceded in death by her husband, Gary Field on June 28, 2004; parents John and Shirley (Scheel) Psiones; father-in-law Morris Field, brother-in-law Glen Field, sisters-in-law Susie Field, and Judith Field.

Survivors include sons, Ben (Kelly) Field of Ripon, WI, Brian (fiancée Haleigh Levandoski) Field of Sanford, FL; grandchildren, Kartiki and Kumar Field; mother-in-law Rose Field of Racine, WI; brother, Jim (Mona) Psiones of Anchorage, AK; sisters-in-law, Jeanne (Joe) Konrad of Hartford, WI, Jenny (Todd) Anderson of Racine, WI, Nancy Field of Arizona; nieces and nephews Nick, Dan, and Paul Psiones, Megan (Eric) Koning, Nick Field, Patrick and Rachel Anderson. Julie was always gentle with the needle at the Blood Center. I liked having her as my phlebotomist .  Ben and my daughter attended Fine Arts together so I saw Julie at several different venues, always with a smile. I know she was a fighter through all her difficult health issues. She is an inspiration to all who knew her. She is at peace.

I have wonderful memories of Julie – from her growing-up years and the times she spent at our house with my sister, Cindy Nelson.
Those memories continued and our lives touched again when Julie and Gary were in Lansing MI for Gary’s pharmacy internship. They spent a lot of time at hour house and with our kids.
Julie was artistic and creative. She will be missed.
    Godspeed, Julie.

My family picked Draeger , for our Dad, because they did such a wonderful job for my sister and brother in law. I don’t even have the right language skills to tell you how wonderful and compassionate Gary was to our family! He thought of every detail and made it so affordable but yet OUTSTANDING quality! I just can’t say enough about the whole entire process! Thank you Gary! Warren Williams officiated the service and he couldn’t of done a better , more sincere job! Thank you again, Gary! You are superb!

Sincerely,
The Morris Family ❤
