So many good memories of Barb. Spending time at her house as a kid. She got me my first job. But most importantly, she was a dear friend to my mom (Donna Johnson), often coaxing mom out of her comfort zone to travel together, or just getting mom out of the house for lunch or ‘bumming around’. I’m so sad she’s gone, but glad for all the memories. Condolences to her boys and their families, and to Terrie and Maureen.

This is sad news to hear. Barbara is a cousin of mine and I do send my deepest regards to all of the family. What a legacy of children and grandchildren. No wonder it was one of her favorite activities-being with the grandchildren and great grandchildren. It must have consumed many loving hours of her time. She is with God now.
Sincerely,
Bill Foley-Kentwood MI

My earliest memories of Barb were when all of the Foleys would gather for Christmas celebrations at Aunt Hele and Uncle Hank’s House for Christmas in their rec room. Barb and Harry were dating, Whom and subsequently married. Since she was considerably older than I, I always looked up to her.
I was fortunate to see her in February when she visited Tucson, and I’m glad we were able to spend time together.
Barb was a dear friend of my mom’s (Pat Therkelson), from the time that they were teenagers until my mom’s passing in 2013.
My sincere condolences to Dwain, Brian, Chris, Teri, Maureen and their families.

Melanie says
If you know anything about Barb, it’s that she loves her family and would do anything for them. Mama Bear protected her own. For me, Aunt Barb ensured I had a strong educational foundation by reviewing my high school schedule and keeping the good teachers on my list. A Bachelor’s, Master’s and Law degree later, I now have an appreciation of how important that foundation was for my life. Aunt Barb made sure I had a path to anything I wanted to achieve.
I know the only regret she has is not getting to see her granddaughter’s first baby born, though knowing another great-grandbaby was on the way brought her joy. She loved watching her family grow and having more people to care about. I hope all the great-grandbabies keep the holiday spirits alive this coming season, when the family will be feeling her absence. We all know she loved us, we will all miss her, she was a strong matriarch who relished the role.
She was always lucky in BINGO, so a salute: I-22 little ducks in a row , I-23 The Lord is my Shepard

I could not attend so I streamed the service. It was lovely. Barb would have approved. Georgia has been intrusted to me by Barb’s family. She already is happy with us. Every time I sit with her on my lap, I remember Barb, and will always do so She will be in my heart. forever. She was a long time, kind, fun loveling friend. She lost Harry at a young age and raised her boys to be fine young. I am so honored she called me her friend.

Barbara was a wonderful neighbor on Summit Avenue. Both of her sisters Terri and Maureen were her sisters, and also great friends especially of my mom Edna Wankovich. Harry, Barb’s first husband worked for me at Speedway gas station just prior to his death. He was a great worker, and would even come in on his days off. I miss our time on Summit Ave, and the Foley family. All memories will now be so so very important to you all. <3 to you all . . . Cheri

Warmly,
