Willie Edward Biles, 84, received the promise of eternal life on Wednesday, December 30, 2020.  He was born in New Albany, MS, on December 22, 1936, son of the late Frank Biles and Ada White.

Willie was united in marriage to the love of his life, the former Thelma Scott, on December 27, 1959. He graduated with a degree in Business from Spencerian College in 1959. Willie proudly and faithfully served his country in the United States Army. He started working for J.I. Case in 1964 where he was a production control supervisor until his retirement.

Willie was a devoted husband, father, and “papa” as his grandchildren affectionately called him. He enjoyed spending time with his family, refinishing furniture, cooking, and attending Veterans or Old Timers meetings with his wife. He will be deeply missed by his friends, family and all who knew him.

Willie leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Thelma Biles; children, Randy (Cheryl) Biles and Terri (Anthony) Williams; grandchildren, Darrin, Ashley, Tyree, and Cameron; great-grandchildren, Tavijon, Kemari, Tyree Jr, Aaliyah, A’mya, Khari, Kellen, and Cameron Jr; siblings, Minnie, Effie, Helen, Shirley, Alvin (Mariah), and Jeanette; other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.

In addition to his parents, Willie is preceded in death by his sister, Sammie Ruth (Acie) Dogans; and brother, Jimmie White.

A memorial celebration of Willie’s life and homegoing will be held on Thursday, January 7, 2021, 5:00pm, at Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home and Crematory, 4600 County Line Road.  Visitation will be from 4:00pm until the time of the service.  Due to the pandemic, the service will be limited to 25 people.

Testimonials

October 22, 2015

We would like to personally thank Brian for what a warm, compassionate funeral you arranged. You always put our thoughts first and answered and responded to my many phone calls about everything. The artistry of the belongings of our son was amazing. Everything was so beautiful. So many people complimented on how the arrangement was set up by you. We as a family will never forget what you did for us in our time of need. Thank you very much Brian.
