Service Details

Family and friends are invited to meet at St. Edward Catholic Church (1425 Grove Ave) on Friday, August 26, 2022, for a visitation from 10-11 A.M.   

 

The celebration of her life and funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 A.M.  with Rev. Juan Manual Camacho officiating. 

 

She will be entombed in the mausoleum at West Lawn Memorial Park following the Mass.

RACINE – Kathleen Ann Zengota, 82, passed away at her home on Saturday, August 13, 2022.

A lifelong resident of Racine, she was born on September 28, 1939, the daughter of the late Herman and Betty (nee Staudinger) Schiller.  Kathleen graduated from Washington Park High School.

She married Stephen Zengota on June 2, 1962.  He preceded her in death on February 20, 2000.

Kathleen worked 29 years at Jacobsen Manufacturing and was an inspector and a union steward for UAW Local 556. She loved reading and spending time in the summer with family and friends in Wind Lake.   Kathleen was an avid golfer, playing in leagues up until last year.  She was a member of the Washington Park Golferettes and the Ives Grove Friday Swingers.   In her earlier years she enjoyed bowling and gardening.

She is survived by her daughters, Jody Ellen Zengota of Racine, Kari Beth (Steve) Hakker of Hurricane, UT and Jamie Rae Zengota of Racine.  She is also survived by her dear nephews, David, Danny, Darren Schiller.  In addition to her parents and husband, Kathleen was preceded in death by her brother, David Schiller.

    ToTheZengota Gals, I want to express my condolences to you ladies and your families.If i needed to describe your mother I would describe her as being both beautifull and Kind.I know the pain you are feeling now ,but in time memories will replace some of that emptiness and pain.
