The loss of someone we loved so dear is no easy thing to accept. I loved Dieter in his earliier years very much. We affectionately called him opa. He was my former father-in-law. He was the grandest opa of all times! He and Siggi, Oma, cared for Lucas for endless hours when I went back to school. For the love, endless stories of their homeland but most importantly, teachings from the Bible they shared with Lucas and I were the most treasured Memories of all..! With love, Lisa Ward

I attended St. Bona’s during his time there; I never kicked a ball nor likely said a word to him, but his work with our ‘native’ players from south of the border gave us serious bragging rights, when our tiny school was swamped by Case and others in almost every other sport! Wiedersehen!
