Timothy "Tim" Young, Jr.

Jul 23, 1981 – Jan 9, 2023

Service Details

Homegoing Services celebrating Timothy’s life will be held in Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home on Sunday, January 29, 2023 at 1:00 pm. Viewing will be in the funeral home on Sunday, January 29th, from 12:00 noon – 1:00 pm.

Timothy was born on July 23, 1981 and departed this earth Monday ,January 9, 2023 at the age of 41 in his home town of Racine Wisconsin.  Timothy was the eldest of 5 children of  Timothy Young, Sr. and Denise (nee: Thurman) Young. Tim played the roll of the protector in his family and to extended family members. Tim was always big on challenging others on how big and strong he was to where he was known not to be messed with. At a young age Tim hustled by shoveling snow and cutting grass to help support his siblings and his gaming skills. Tim was KNOWN for loving his video games and drinking milk. We used to crack jokes on him and say MILK DOES YOUR BODY GOOD! His response was, shut up before I kick your butt. Tim used love to act like he’s HE-Man and do this flying kick in the air and knocked one of us across the room during a playful fighting match. Childhood was a little hard but fun for us all as siblings.

Tim attended JI Case High School and juggled a job always. Tim became a father for the first time at the age of 26 and 10 years later he has a total of 5 kids and out of that 5 he got his wish and got his boy! Tim had big dreams and goals for himself and his family. Tim was very proud that he got certified as a CNC machine operator to better provide for his kids. Tim worked as a CNC operator at Pioneer Products, until his health began to fail in 2014.

With a profound work ethic, Tim pushed hard to stay strong and healthy for his family but outside of that, Tim truly loved spending QT with his entire family by having movie/game nights, baking and cooking with his girls and family outings. Also telling his kids about his childhood and how they need to protect each other like he did for his brothers and sisters.

Timothy leaves to cherish his loving memory and continue legacy through his 5 children: Timiah Young age 14, Anari Young age 11, Azuri Young age 8, Timothy Young III age 5 and Shariah Young age 4; Timothy will be sincerely and deeply missed by his mother Denise Young and his siblings: Tiffany Young, Adam (Letha Ozier) Young and Shannon Young; grandmother, Betty Young; many special aunts, uncles, cousins & friend – too numerous to mention by name.

Timothy was preceded in death by his father, Timothy Young, Sr. (2007); brother, Matthew Young (2018); and by grandparents, Lewis Young; Beverly & James Richard Elliot Thurman.

Testimonials

December 18, 2024

Words cannot even begin to express the tremendous gratitude our family has for a team like the one at Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home & Crematory. Thank you for the gentle lovely care over our mother Delia (Rosa) Balderas. Never having had a direct experience with a funeral home to this extent we didn’t know what to expect. We didn’t have a clue that they would step right in and have the most comforting team surrounding us that thought of ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING for anyone in our position. It was very evident from the first discussion on the phone that they were already well prepared to handle every little detail for us that we weren’t even aware would be required. Mark and his team truly eased so much of the unknown worries right out of our path, and left room for us to just focus on the small personal details we wanted for our mom. It was nice to know that all cost involved was in black and white on their site as well as on paper at our first meeting. Leaving no room for question or doubt what so ever with any fee involved. It was truly a blessing to have everything written out so well and simplified with various price range options in a time that we needed crystal clear direction. Its been beautiful to see that their care and service didn’t stop after our mom’s service came to an end. They continue to be in communication with immediate responses as questions arise along the way. God bless Mark, and the entire compassionate team, to be around to guide many many more for generations to come through life’s most difficult times. You are all truly amazing.

Hilda Balderas
