Starting at 12pm.

In the early morning of April 1, 2024, Eric Michael Olson passed away after a 13-year battle with cancer. He was 66 years old.

Eric was born to Orville and Sally (Smith) in Racine, Wisconsin. He was a graduate of Jerome I Case High School. He married his wife Patricia (Zurawski) in 1983 and they had 3 children together. Eric retired from Case IH in 2014.

Eric was an avid hunter and fisherman, who enjoyed spending his time at his property in New Chester, WI. He loved riding his Harley with his wife, son-in-law, and friends. He also enjoyed spending his winters at his property in Brooksville, FL and had many friends there.  Mostly, Eric enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Eric is preceded in death by his father, Orville Olson and Mother, Sally (Smith) Olson. His brothers Todd Olson, Robert Olson, and his sister Kimberly Janicek (Olson).

He is survived by his loving wife Patricia Olson (Zurawski) and their children. Nichole (Robert) Hovland of Kenosha, Eric Jr. (Jennifer) Olson of Mt. Pleasant and Amber Olson of Sturtevant, WI. Nothing brought more joy than his six grandchildren: Kyler, Marleigh, Adrianna, Marika, Memphis, and Charlee. He is also survived by his brothers Martin (Alice) Olson of Kansasville, WI and Mark Olson of Racine, WI. Also, his sisters Kathy Schmidt of Racine, WI, Kris (Jim) Skowronski of Franksville, WI and Karen Montgomery of Warner Robins, GA.  Along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and his long-time childhood friends Tom (Sue) Paulson of Caledonia, WI and Roger (Beth) Mayer of Casa Grande, AZ.

His family would like to acknowledge and thank Horizon Hospice staff for being there for the family during Eric’s last days.

Oh goodness! I so remember Eric back in the Case HS and Skatetown days! He was a fun guy. Over the years I often wondered where he ended up. I am so sorry to learn of his death.

Eric, I will always remember you and always love you. You and you and Patty were so good to me when we were down here in Florida. Taking me places showing me places. You made sure that I was set up here. And I would be OK by myself when I’m here by myself. You took very good care of me. You take care of everybody all the time. That’s what makes a good man. You will always be remembered down here. You have great friends down here and we all miss and love you so MI hurt for your family, but I know you’re in God’s hands no more hurt. Thank you for everything. There is one thing. I remember Patty telling me the reason why you always picked on me and gave me hard times about everything. It’s because you love me well.I love you too.And we’ll always love you deedee

Your family is in my prayers. May you always keep Eric alive in your heart’s and prayers. Always know he’s watching over all of you. He is the sunshine, the wind in your hair and the air you breath. And he’ll be there waiting for you when it’s your time to join him. And you will have a blessed reunion.
