Her visitation (with the casket present) will be in the funeral home on Friday, October 17th from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with a time for sharing starting at 6:00 p.m. A Celebration of Life will be held in Christ Church United Methodist, 5109 Washington Avenue on Saturday, October 11th at 11:00 a.m. (her casket will not be present at church). Church service will be followed by lunch and fellowship. Guests are invited to bring a letter or note telling how Nancy touched your life to be published in a book by the family.

Nancy Holmlund, 83, of Racine, passed away, peacefully, at her residence on Saturday, October 11, 2025. She was born in Milwaukee on July 26,1942, the daughter of the late Frederick and Ileane (nee: Keppler) Glaeser.
Nancy received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire and her master’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. In August of 1966 she was united in marriage to Duane Holmlund who preceded her in death on February 19, 1981. Nancy taught at Starbuck Middle School for over 32 years. She was a member of Christ Church United Methodist, Delta Kappa Gamma, Past President of WISDOM, and Adjunct Professor for the University of Wisconsin-Parkside. Nancy was a fundamental force for the Interfaith Coalition.
Surviving are her children, Kevin (Jill) Holmlund, of Chippewa Falls, and Lisa (Bill) Brindl, of Bolingbrook, IL; six grandchildren, Drew Holmlund, Kyler Holmlund, Seth Hollund, Lauren Ventrella, Braden Ventrella, and Brooke Ventrella; brother, Thomas Glaeser, of Hot Springs Village, AR, nephew Greg (Shelly) Glaeser, of West Allis, WI. In addition to her parents and beloved husband, Nancy was preceded in death by four siblings, Kathleen Glaeser, Fred Glaeser, Robert Glaser, and Susan Blank-Mills.
