
Albert W. Johnson, 80, was lovingly called to eternal reward on Sunday, September 22, 2013. He was born in New Albany, MS, on March 27, 1933, the son of the late Mark D. and Rosa Lee (nee: Mosley) Johnson.
Mr. Johnson had been employed by Metal Parts and later retired from Alloy Castings. He was a devoted member of Gregg Chapel. On Dec. 31, 1950, he was united in marriage to the late Nadine (nee: Martin) Johnson. To this union came 7 children, David (Tina) Johnson, Pat (Frank) McNeil, Mark Johnson, Diane Johnson, Anthony (Diane) Johnson, April (Art) Howell, and the late Tracy Johnson. On Dec. 3, 1988 he was united in marriage to the former Shirley White. Also surviving are his stepson, Keith Fenderson, all of Racine, 13 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandson, sister, Willie Lee Johnson, niece, Shelly Johnson, both of Loraine, OH, close friends, the Moore family, Karlos Bland, Sandy Johnson many other relatives and dear friends.
His Homegoing Service will be held on Friday, September 27th, at 11:00 a.m. in Wayman A.M.E. Church, 424 N. Memorial Dr. with Rev. David Green officiating. Visitation will be in the church on Friday from 8:30 a.m. until the time of the service. In keeping with Mr. Johnson’s wishes, cremation will follow.
