Alfred Duane Brown

vet
Jun 7, 1936 – Feb 7, 2010

Racine – Alfred Duane Brown, 73, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, February 7, 2010. Alfred was born in Racine on June 7, 1936 to the late Raymond and Irene (nee: Lolonde) Brown. A graduate of Park High School, Alfred faithfully served our Country with the United States Navy. On July 28, 1962 he was united in marriage with the love of his life, Dovie Loreen Cornwell, who preceded him in death on December 25, 2002. In addition to his wife, Alfred was also preceded in death by his sister, Marilyn and brother, Neil. Among his interests, he enjoyed fishing with his son, working out weekly at the Cardiac Rehab., spending time with neighbor friends, and, most recently, secretly learning to play guitar. He was planning to surprise his family at Christmas by playing a song. Above all, his family was his top priority and he loved being surrounded in their company. Surviving are his children, Norma Jean Brown, Michael Brown, and Allison L. Brown, all of Racine; grandchildren, Daniel Brian Valles, Kristina L. Gomez, Jessica I. Valles, Joshua M. Valles, Gabriella L. Rico and Cianna M. Barrientes; special nieces, Kellie, Valerie, Lisa, Lorie and Rebecca; special lifelong friends, Angie Trabert and Donny Foss; and many other relatives and friends too numerous to mention by name. A Memorial Service celebrating Alfred’s life will be held in the funeral home on Friday, February 12, 2010 at 11 am. Visitation will be on Friday from 10-11 am. Private interment will take place at the S. Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. We are comforted to know that Mama was there with Daddy when the Lord called him home.

Testimonials

October 22, 2015

Bill’s service was beautiful, beyond belief. Leslie was priceless in all she did. Gary, knowing Bill for many years, said a few words at the service. The special touched I didn’t expect warmed my heart. Two very, very special people helped make a sad day into something very special.

Thank you to all those that helped behind the scene, setting up, opening doors. My heart is full.

Bless you.

Helene Hellesen
