Amy Louise Lowery

Feb 17, 1939 – Jan 5, 2009

Racine – Amy Louise Lowery, 69, passed away at All Saints hospital on Monday, January 5, 2009. She was born on February 17, 1939 in Anniston, Alabama, the daughter of the late Benjamin and Mary (nee: Easley) Moss. Most of her life she lived in Racine. Amy enjoyed 17 years working at Regency Mall in the housekeeping department, retiring in June 2008. The only thing more important to her were her children and grandchildren. She will be remembered by them as a firm, but loving Mom who worked very hard to provide for them. All of them were very proud of her when at age 45, she returned to school to complete her high school education. Amy also liked caring for her home, cooking, walking, and long distance phone calls with family and friends. She leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Brenda Moss, Kenny Moss, Robert Lowery, Jr., Yusef (Laura) Lowery, and Felicia Lowery all of Racine, Alice Bautista, and Jacqueline (Nathan) Vaught both of Harker Heights, Texas, Samantha (Glen) Etheridge of Livingston, Alabama, Henry (LaShauna) Lowery of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Brian Lowery of St. Cloud, Minnesota; 23 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers and 2 sisters; and a host of other relatives and friends. She was also preceded by 1 brother and 1 sister. Homegoing services will be held in the funeral home at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, January 9, 2009 with Rev. Sheila Nienhaus officiating. Burial will follow at Graceland cemetery. Visitation will begin in the funeral home at 12 noon.
