Wife, Mother, Daughter, Sister, Aunt, Friend, Constant source of support, Caregiver…So Much to so many.
She was born Ann K Bush on June 3, 1934 in Mexico, Missouri. The only child of Mary Ann Jones and Shannon W Bush. After a few short years spent in Mexico Missouri, her parents decided to make their way to Racine, WI. Ann was a devout Christian who accepted Christ very early. Ann was a faithful member of St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church. She was also an active member of the Ruth Circle. When her health issues began to increase, she was no longer able attend as regularly as she liked.
As she began to establish roots in Wisconsin, Ann was united in holy matrimony with Earl Lue in 1952. The union was blessed with 1 child, Sharon Lue. Ann was employed by St. Luke’s Hospital in Racine, WI as a Coffee Shop Manager. The coffee shop helped develop her love for people. Ann always felt compelled to make sure others were take care of. Her character was one of a kind. You can be sure that if you met her once, you weren’t soon to forget her! She was always there for her friends and family. Always willing to help, showing support and loving unconditionally were some of her greatest attributes. Ann most loved spending time with family and friends, bowling and traveling. She also enjoyed serving as a member of the Community Women’s Club.
Ann was preceded in death by both parents Mary Ann Jones and Shannon W Bush; Great grandson Ayden Gamble and Great Great grandson Saheim Muhamad. She is survived by her only daughter, Sharon Lue and 1 Godson, Thomas Drake Cameron; 10 grandchildren Lavalle(Javonna) Lue, Karen Coleman, Stephanie Lue, Tamara Gamble, Takeisha Gamble, Edward Gamble, Kendra Gamble, Sherell Gamble, Shanita Gamble, and Tiffany Gamble; 20 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild, Da’sani Gardner. Special friends, Lillie Cameron, Hattie Gibson and Alma Allen.
Ann will also be missed by a host of other relatives and friends that should be mentioned; all of whose lives’ have been touched by her in one way or another.
Ann Katherine Lue, age 85, completed her earthly journey on Monday, July 8, 2019. A Celebration of Her Life will be held on Tuesday, July 16, 2019, 11:00am at St. Paul MBC, 1123 Center St., Racine, WI. Visitation will be at the church from 10:00am until the time of service. Bishop Lawrence L. Kirby will be officiating. Interment will take place at West Lawn Memorial Park.
