
Somers – Arline Violet (nee: Zimmermann) Bouse, age 70; passed away peacefully at Hospice Alliance – Hospice House in Pleasant Prairie on Monday, November 24, 2014 following a courageous one-year battle with brain cancer.
Arline was born in Chilton, Wisconsin on May 21, 1944 to the late Philip and Frieda (nee: Diefenthaler) Zimmermann. A graduate of New Holstein High School, she was employed at various companies during her career but retired as a parts specialist from the Chrysler Corporation in 2000. On September 23, 1967 in New Holstein, she was united in marriage with the love of her life, Harold “Harry” Eugene Bouse.
Arline was a faithful member of Mount Pleasant Lutheran Church. She was also a proud member of the UAW Local 72. Among her interests, she enjoyed bowling; flower & vegetable gardening; cooking & baking; and loved every moment spent with her family – especially her grandchildren.
Surviving are her loving husband of over 47 years, Harry; children, Charles (Debbie) Bouse, Donna (Jeff) Bass, Anna (Greg) Gain and Jeffrey Bouse; grandchildren, Jason (Amber) Bouse, Heather (Jack) Carpenter, Adam (Barbie Berg) Cutler, Rachel Cutler, Samantha (Trevor Hannes) Miller, Savanna Gain, Shelby Gain, Dalton Gain and Casey (Justin Diaz) Bouse; great-grandchildren, Caleb, Gunner, Corbin, Connor, Gentry and McKenna; brother, Marvin (Cynthia) Zimmermann; sisters, Mildred (Herbert) Rosso and Shirley (Marv) Thimmig; sister-in-law, MaryK; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, Arline was preceded in death by her beloved son, Daniel Bouse (at age 19); grandson, Christopher Manning; brother, Melvin Herman (Elaine) Zimmermann; Harry’s parents, Frank and Hannah (nee: Anderson) Bouse; and brothers-in-law, Frank Rouse, Charles Rouse and Ronald Rouse.
Funeral services will be held in Mount Pleasant Lutheran Church, 1700 S. Green Bay Road in Racine, on Monday, December 1, 2014 at 12:00 noon with Rev. Christine Thomas-Echelbarger officiating. Interment will follow at Green Ridge Cemetery in Kenosha. Visitation will be in Mount Pleasant Lutheran Church on Monday from 10 am – 12:00 noon. Memorials to Hospice Alliance – Hospice House have been suggested.
