Barbara Ann Davis

Jul 5, 1952 – Jul 15, 2013

Sturtevant – Barbara Ann Davis, 61, passed away WFHC All Saints Hospital on Monday, July 15, 2013. She was born on July 5, 1952, daughter of the late John and Marie (nee: Gavahan) Therkelsen. She was a lifelong Racine area resident. On January 31, 1970 she was married in St. John Nepomuk Catholic Church to Eugene James “Jim” Davis.

Barbara was very proud of her Irish heritage; St. Patrick’s Day was very special to her, and she had an extensive collection of 4-leaf clovers. She also loved music and dancing, and enjoyed cooking, crocheting, and sewing. Barbara also volunteered much of her time to the Racine Fire Belles. Most of all she loved all of her family.

Barbara is survived by her loving husband, Jim Davis; their children, Ann Routheaux, Patricia Marie Davis, and Bridget (Martell Monette) Davis; six grandchildren, Megan, Ryan, and Brennan Routheaux, Kevin Davis, Brianne Thompson, and Ethan Monette; sisters, Patricia (Randall) Wagner, and Theresa Peterson; brother, Tommy Mitchell; nieces, Kristen Dock, and Kerry Parnell; nephew, Michael Wagner, Sr.; and many other relatives and friends. Barbara was recently preceded in death by her grandniece, Kaylyn Parnell.

A celebration of Barbara’s life will be held in the funeral home at 5:00 pm on Tuesday, July 23, 2013. All are invited to visit with the family beginning at 3:00 pm. Committal services will be private. In lieu of flowers, the memorials to the family have been suggested.
